Theological Librarianship: The State of the Journal

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Since 2008, Theological Librarianship, the open access journal of ATLA, has been instrumental in encouraging theological librarians to write as part of their vocation, and providing a venue in which to write. In this session, current members of the editorial board, including the recently appointed Managing Editor, will provide an overview of the journal’s history and impact, as well as discuss the role of the journal in supporting ATLA’s core purpose and values. We will present ideas for future directions for Theological Librarianship, in terms of content, outreach, and engagement with the association and the profession, and will facilitate conversation with session participants about these issues. The session will include practical advice for prospective contributors to the journal, but should be of broad interest to all conference attendees.
